One Word Review: Complete
Master of Puppets is that rare breed of albums, which feels complete and utterly perfect. That doesn't make it my favorite Metallica album though, as sometimes, flaws turn out to give an album a certain charm. That doesn't mean I cherish Master Of Puppets any less, it's just that after so many listens, I am left slightly cold, making the album less enjoyable than Ride The Lightning.
Back when I was getting into heavy metal in the early nineties, Welcome Home (Sanitarium) was one of those songs that helped my transition into a complete metalhead. That song remains a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
Favorite songs: Master Of Puppets, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), The Thing That Should Not Be, Leper Messiah, Battery, Damage Inc.
