Yet I feel I'm so much more, my lady feels the same
I can be king with just a daggers thrust"
I've always thought Jag Panzer's Thane To The Throne album was something special. It somehow captures Shakespeare's Macbeth by means of guitar-driven heavy metal spliced with acoustic interludes, choirs and a superb display of voice control by singer Harry Conklin. This last song of the album works as a re-cap of the album, as it sums up the story and delivers a successful atmosphere, incorporating most of the album's features in its 8 minutes. From its soft opening, the song develops in a confident way with several guitar solos, heavy riffs and a memorable chorus as the immediate temptations.
Jag Panzer disbanded in 2011 but left an impressive legacy of albums. If you don't know them, then this is as good a place to start as any.
