Mad Margritt - Animal
In 2002 Mad Margritt released the brilliant "New Sensation". A quote from that review;

"Mad Margritt is not inventing anything or breaking new ground. The style is good time Rock 'N' Roll 80's style"

That quote is still so very true. Mad Margritt has become a bit heavier on "Animal". The title track opens with heavy guitars pumping out a groovy riff. Mad Margritt trademarks are melodic, catchy and well written tunes with an 80's feel to it.

Don't Say a Word hits bull's eye, since the song has got it all. The lyrics are cool, the riff has a special emotion to it and everything comes together for the chorus. Scotty Banks delivers a great solo. Banks could be responsible for Mad Margritt taken a harder direction, since Banks is main songwriter along with Eddie Smith.

I like singer Eddie Smith because of his dedication to this kind of music. He has a special tone, which differentiates Mad Margritt.

Loaded Gun and I Don´t think I love you are among the best tunes, which makes "Animal" a safe buy for fans of 80´s Hard Rock. The only downside is the playing time of only 28 minutes, but rather quality instead of quantity.
