Quick Review

"Wednesday morning at five o'clock
As the day begins
Silently closing her bedroom door
Leaving the note that she hoped would say more"

One Word Review: Milestone

Sgt. Pepper may not meet the definition of a concept album in its strictest sense, yet it has a thread running through it, beautifully tied together by the opening and next-to-closing song. I find the album brilliant and impressive, filled with interesting songs, showing the evolution the band had been through at that point. Though it looses some of the intensity and raw feel of the earlier albums, it more than makes up for it by its display of maturity, diversity and attention to detail.

A more complete review is forthcoming.

Favorite songs: She's Leaving Home, A Day In The Life, When I'm Sixty-Four, Being For The Benefit Of Mister Kite, With A Little Help From My Friends (Especially that magical opening), Getting Better.
